How We Teach It

We geek-out on instruction, prioritizing strong intellectual preparation and masterful facilitation of student discourse in order to guide and motivate our scholars.

Balanced Literacy Approach

In Elementary School, our balanced literacy approach includes: Readerʼs Workshop, Writerʼs Workshop, Close Reading, Phonological Awareness, and Guided Reading; in Middle School ELA is comprised of Literature, Writing, and Close Reading.

Cognitively Guided Instruction

Rooted in Cognitively Guided Instruction, RISE SEʼs inquiry-based math program includes: Math Workshop, Math Routines, and Problem Solving.
